Young artists put on their own one-night show
"All that Matters to Me" features the work of 32 local artists

A group of young Northeast Ohio artists aren't waiting for gallery owners to take notice of their work. They are putting on their own show in a converted factory complex in Lakewood.

Accumulation is an installation by artist Erica Raby.  Erica graduated in 2010 from Kent State University with her MFA (master of fine arts).  She works primarily in installation.  Erica curently lives in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
Dissection is by artist Amy Howell.  Amy works in various media including printmaking, drawing, and installation.

The Power of Goodbye is by Chris Simones.  Chris holds a BFA from Kent State University with a concentration in Sculpture.  He will be creating a site specific installation for the Matters Show.

Description: This installation investigates themes of heroism and boundless human potential. This piece focuses on Martin Luther King Jr. as a sort of fence jumper, an outspoken revolutionary who dared to hurdle social divisions within a hidebound culture.
